Digital strategy, brand development and project management of B2B eCommerce venture
Maritime Beauty began in 1966 as a full service professional beauty supply distributor for Atlantic Canada. With sixteen retail branches across the Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and PEI – the company’s original vision of customer service and superior product quality needed to be reflected in their new eCommerce venture: maritimebeautyshop.com. The online venture was unique in that it target marketed the existing customer base of over 20,000 registered clients, with special attention to ones based in rural and remote areas.
Maritime Beauty partnered with Demac Media for the development of the storefront. I was brought on to spearhead the company’s new digital marketing investments and was directly responsible for the branding, execution and marketing efforts of the 7000+ product online store.
My key duties included content strategy, brand development, website design, team leadership, strategic operational planning for conversion goals and content creation for all online related initiatives including storefront, company website, social media, trade shows, and direct marketing campaigns.
